In Barn Owls, children are with us from around their 3rd birthday until they leave us for school, with a maximum of 24 children at a time. There is some flexibility based on individual children’s development as to when they join us – some come earlier and others are a little later, but this is discussed and planned for between the rooms as we know our children well.
We have a cosy book corner with cushions, blankets and a canopy, perfect for looking at books, relaxing or chatting with friends. There’s also a large role play area to immerse children into different topics, space for creativity and supported activities, and plenty of time to access the outdoor areas and Forest School.
There are opportunities for more focused learning in line with our children’s development and preparing them for the next chapter in their lives, as well as the freedom to express their own interests and preferences.

We deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) promoting all areas of your child’s development through play and planned opportunities. We use Tapestry to record your child’s learning journey.
