Cubs Room

Our Room

In Cubs we take children from the age of 18-30 months, and have a maximum of 11 children with us at a time. Our aim is to give children the best possible start to their early education, and help their development at their own pace.

They have their own small decking attached to the room, and a separate designated garden area. Children have the opportunity to access Outdoor Learning during the week, including making use of baby carriers and buggies if required.

Early Years Curriculum

We deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) promoting all areas of your child’s development through play and planned opportunities. We use EyLog to record your child’s learning journey.

SEND Support

We operate a completely inclusive policy, and ensure all children have the opportunity to thrive. Our staff use Makaton to help children communicate.



Outdoor Learning

We run regular Outdoor Learning sessions (including Forest School) throughout the week. Suitable clothing is provided to enable the activity to operate regardless of the weather.

Since being in the Ducklings room we have noticed an increase in his progression. He has become more confident in trying new activities whilst he is at home ad getting himself up into the standing position and wanting to walk himself. Alanna and her team do an incredible job keeping us up to date on his day to day activities. We enjoy the photos that are provided through the EyLog app. Thank you for all the hard work that everyone does at Seedlings, and we look forward to continuing his development journey together.

Cannot recommend Seedlings enough! My daughter is loving it and goes in so happy as well as coming out happy! Love seeing updates and photos etc as well as knowing a nice hot meal is provided for them. Lovely clean environment and staff are lovely!

I did just want to take the time to say how impressed I am with all the changes made to Seedlings! It truly is a beautiful setting and I feel blessed that she is able to attend. The impact it's had on her is incredible! I often show her any pictures that are posted and it's really lovely to see her smile and talk about her nursery, teachers and friends whilst looking at them. She has even started naming some of her friends that she plays with. Thank you so much for going above and beyond!

Seedlings is an incredible setting. The team are so supportive, friendly and helpful and give my children fantastic experiences. They have a wonderful knowledge of allergies and medical conditions and this ensures my eldest’s safety to a very high standard. I will be absolutely heartbroken the day they move on to school!
